Welcome to the latest issue of Update,a free regular round up of news from the PMForum, the largest and fastest growing multi-disciplinary group of professional services marketers in the world.
The PM Forum is widely recognised as the global professional body for marketers in the professions. All but a handful of the largest UK professional firms are PM Forum members with excellent renewals and growth in new members. Over 100 in-house marketers serve on local committees in the UK, USA, Canada, Germany, Ireland and Poland. Our Marketing Leaders' Group is recognised by the Managing Partners' Forum as representing marketing in the MPF world.
In this issue we announce our commitment to members for 2010 covering four areas.
We are already well known for our magazine, surveys, training, events, conference and job bank. We will provide in-depth knowledge through the magazine and surveys, and organise an annual conference and well over 100 events and training courses, with topics based on member research and committee debate.
Setting standards
We will partner with Cambridge Marketing College to deliver, through traditional and distance learning, a tailored version of the CIM/CAM Digital Marketing Diploma from June. More information will be available soon.
Representing marketing
We will organise regular campaigns similar to the lobbying exercise resulting from the recent changes by Chambers to its legal directory submission deadlines. To see more on this campaign visit the Forum website.
Acting independently
The newly formed PMI Foundation will ensure that we act in a manner that is non-partisan, independent of undue third party influence and for the benefit of the business community as a whole. Elections will be held in April for a PM Forum member to become one of the five Trustees of the Foundation. Look out for more information soon.
A warm welcome to new PM Forum members
