2010 APS ANNUAL CLIENT CONFERENCE

"Challenging Best Practice - a Collaborative Approach"

It gives me great pleasure to invite you and your team to the 19th APS Annual Client Conference, taking place in the beautiful city of Auckland from Thursday 4th to Saturday 6th November.

The Conference venue is the prestigious Hyatt Regency Hotel which enjoys stunning views of Auckland harbour and is located just a few minutes' walk from the city centre.

Delegate feedback in recent years tells us that conference attendees derive great value from the opportunity to share experiences and ideas with their peers. So, in a major departure from previous years, for the 2010 Conference we're taking a more collaborative approach in our conference sessions. Yes, there will be product demonstrations, to present new functionality and new products. But more than this, the main focus of our conference sessions will be to collectively look at the key day-to-day business challenges that impact firms' ability to enhance and continuously improve Best Practice. All the way, we'll look at the challenge first and debate how teams and business processes can better meet those best practice challenges – and finally, review how elements of the Advance suite can assist in the achievement of these.

We're also pleased to announce that this year's Guest Speaker is Michael Henderson, Corporate Anthropologist and renowned speaker on the subject of organisational culture. Michael has a very strong following, counting the likes of Coca-Cola, Vodafone and Lion Nathan among his impressive client-list – along with countless professional firms.

As always, our social functions and networking opportunities will take place as usual, commencing with the traditional Opening Dinner – feedback tells us we alter the social format at our peril!

Overall, our aim this year is for clients to walk away from conference challenged and armed with ideas, tools, materials and knowledge to formulate a Best Practice Plan for their firm - covering Relationship Management, Business Services process, Revenue and Credit Management, Human Resources to Resource Planning, Practice Performance Management and a Paperless Office.

The Conference Programme will be forwarded in due course, but in order for you to start scheduling calendars and flights, we can advise that Delegate Registration for conference will begin on the afternoon of the 4th November with the Welcome Dinner that evening.  The conference officially opens on the morning of the 5th and the closes with a spectacular Gala Dinner on Saturday 6th.  As per previous years, partners of delegates are most welcome to participate in the conference socials and all day time meals if they would like.

This conference invitation is open to all staff levels, however, with this year's best practice slant, we believe it would be highly beneficial for more than one person from your firm to attend due to the collaborative format. Additionally and if possible, we recommend at least one partner from each firm attend as well.  Early Bird Registration rates close on 30th August, with final registration closing date being 30th September.

To find out more about this year's conference, please read the Conference Overview which provides more detailed information on what will be covered including our 6 Collaborative Challenges.

Lastly, I am pleased to advise that we will be offering a brand new laptop as a prize for the first person who registers for conference.

I look forward to seeing you once again in November!

Kind regards,

Brian Armstrong
