10 June 2009

Hey
there,

The American environmentalist Aldo Leopold once said: "In June as many as a dozen species may burst their buds on a single day". Perhaps inspired by this, over the last few weeks we've seen a huge surge in activity as the long term projects of some of the digital industry's biggest players have started to bear fruit.

First up, Microsoft launched Bing, its curiously monikered new search engine. This was swiftly followed by news of Google Wave, a new solution which may well change the way we all work. As if this wasn't enough, over in the mobile sector, Apple has thrown down the gauntlet once more with the launch of its new improved model, the iPhone 3G S, while Palm Pre launched as a viable iPhone competitor.

Over at the IAB we continue to look after the interests of our members and to promote the digital industry as a whole. If you'd like more info on getting involved with our work, email us at info@iabuk.net.

Happy reading,

Web Team
