9th September 2009

Hi there
,

Music. It's hard to avoid these days. It seems like everyone's listening to it - and even more people may well be writing about it.

For example, anyone who bought a Sunday paper (remember them?) this weekend would have found it hard to escape the inevitable hype around the latest incarnation of Beatlemania. Meanwhile the news that Spotify will (probably) revolutionise how we consume music on the move was covered by even the most mainstream news outlets.

Increasingly at the IAB our work reaches out beyond the digital space and into the public consciousness. As the debate around the monetisation of content online heats up and the revolution in television as content moves online continues to pick up pace, so the issues surrounding music in a digital world will continue to move further into the foreground. These are just some of the key issues to be tackled in the coming months and years. Watch this space...

In the meantime, happy reading.
