Hi there,It's that time of year again. The nights get darker earlier, we're forced to dig out the winter woolies and the office becomes worryingly obsessed with all things X-Factor.
It's also of course the time that we at the IAB get very excited about the race towards Engage. And this year, we're more excited than most. For the event's fifth anniversary, we've secured an incredible line-up of speakers to ensure that your brand is given a thorough digital work out.
That's not all we've been up to of course. It's been an incredibly busy few weeks with the launch of the latest ad spend figures. We're sure you've heard the good news that online advertising expenditure in the UK reached the dizzy heights of £1.75 billion in the first half of this year, achieving a 23.5% market share. Since the original press statement, there has been an update to the figures and for the full report click here (please note - the full report is available to IAB members only).
Following further detailed analysis, PricewaterhouseCoopers have amended the totals for online classified and search advertising. The figure for all online advertising expenditure in H1 2009 remains the same, as does the medium's market share and the display figure. If you have any questions please contact amy@iabuk.net.
You can read all about the ad spend figures and a whole range of other IAB projects below, alongside our round up of the most interesting recent stories about our constantly evolving industry.
