In the news this month:

On the domestic front, we have further guidance from the Central Bank on the fitness and probity regime, the finalised Corporate Governance Code for collective investment schemes and management companies has issued, the Central Bank has written regarding the appointment of directors through conduit firms or other third parties, the Central Bank has issued amended UCITS Notices, NU Notices and related Guidance Notes and an auditor protocol is in place between the Central Bank and the auditors of regulated financial service providers to enhance information sharing.

 

On the international front, ESMA has extended the transitional period for use of non-EU credit ratings, ESMA issued a Q&A on the definition of inside information for Market Abuse purposes, and the EU Commission issued proposals for venture capital and social entrepreneurship funds.
